Your Wisdom Is Showing

My spirit team often teases me about my grays, saying "Your wisdom is showing." I laughed but, such truth in it. My 37 years has shown me so many truths. The best one however, is who I am.

Not the one I was told I was.

Not the one that everyone sees.

Not the one I told myself I had to be to fit in.

The one that has always been there, waiting for me to see her.

She dances in rainstorms & revels in the warm sun.

She can hug with such beautiful love but swiftly cut ties to those who mean harm.

She is humble & confident.

She sees & honors many truths but embraces only what fits in her puzzle.

She has given up the idea of being affected by change & knows she is here to effect change.

She is the maiden, mother, & crown.

She holds great wisdom but, has much to learn.

She is, in all of her facets, me.

As the years pass & my wisdom shows as silver sparkles in my hair, I revel in knowing her more deeply. Uncovering all her hidden truths
