This can feel challenging, especially for anyone that suffers from insecurities, anxiety, or CPTSD. Take a moment to be still, letting all of the days stressors fall away.
Ask yourself the following:
Did their actions hurt me emotionally, physically, or mentally?
If it did, do they have a track record of acting the same or similar?
Do they consistently act or speak to you in ways that negatively impact you?
Did I share my discomfort with their actions in a reasonable & fair to way? If so, did they take reasonable actions to accommodate me?
If they continuously violate your wishes, feelings, mental & physical health, you have every right to walk away &/or set ground rules to protect yourself. You deserve boundaries & those boundaries to be respected.
